If you loved P.S. I Love you, then you have to read this one. The Sequel to the original it follows Holly in the years after Gerry's death.

Holly is still living in the house she shared with Gerry but is about to embark on the next step of her new relationship, moving in with her boyfriend Gabriel, when a podcast she does on the death of Gerry and his letters leads her down a new path, helping others who are terminally ill. The P.S. I Love You Club.

Gabriel isn't happy about it but it is something that Holly wants to do and so she sets out to helps others write their letters to their loved ones for them to discover after their deaths. The story follows Holly and the members of the club that she helps, the friendships she forms and the help that she offers.

An amazing story - though even though I felt that it was not as good as the original story it still had me desperate to read it and find out what happens to all of the characters. Yes there are some really sad bits but there are also some lovely heartwarming bits too, some laughter and a few tears (from me). All of the characters were beautifully described, their stories realistic and the help that Holly gives them, touching to the end.

Four stars from me.

Watching You by Lisa Jewell

Watching you by Lisa Jewell really didn’t disappoint. As I’ve said before I’m a big fan of Lisa Jewell books, they are usually gripping stories and easy to read. This one was both. The story starts with a murder scene but the author doesn’t tell you who it is and this makes you start questioning every character in the story. The story follows the main characters Joey, a newly married women, who with her husband, are living with her brother and sister in law in their house on the terrace which is the main setting of the story. The next main character is Tom Fitzwilliam who lives two doors away with his wife and son. Tom is a superhead who has been brought in to turn around the local academy school. His son, Freddie, is portrayed as a bit odd, constantly watching and photographing people who live in the village and recording their day to day goings on. Hence the “Watching You.” The other main characters are Jenna and Bess who go to the academy. Bess is infatuated by Mr F and Jenna...

The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary

I bought this book myself after seeing so many positive reviews. I read it on my kindle. The story is about Tiffy, and after leaving an abusive relationship and finally accepting it was over she needs to move out and find somewhere to live. Leon advertises his flat share, but it’s only a one bedroom flat but that’s okay as he works nights and spends the weekends with his girlfriend. It’s sounds ideal so after his girlfriends shows Tiffy around (checks her out) she agrees to move in. The relationship blossoms through the notes they leave each other. Until the inevitable happens. Tiffy oversleeps and Leon returns home. Their meeting not as expected. The story is predictable, you know they end up together but it also looks at their friendships, Tiffy with Gertie and Mo and Leon with his brother, Richard and how they all help each other and help Tiffy get away from her abusive ex.
