You may have seen them or something similar. There are all sorts out there now from beauty products to Gin but my love is stationery (I do like the odd Gin too!). I am a member of the Bring Back Paper facebook page hosted by Jocelyn from The Reading Residence and I asked on there which were the best stationery subscription boxes out there.
A few were recommended to me but the most popular one was The Sherbet Lane subscription. I had a look at a few of those suggested including the Paper gang but decided that I would treat myself to six months subscription to The Sherbet Lane box.
Immediately after I joined up, Claire who runs it added me to the facebook page and OMG! She designs all her own work and the variety of products have been amazing. Every Monday she runs a little competition for members of the facebook group as well as designing all the stationery for the boxes. You get anything from paperclips (beautiful ones not just bog standard!), pens, pencils, notebooks, magnets, stencils, rulers, journalling cards, there's just so many different things and they are all beautiful.
Every month I love that feeling when the box arrives and I get to sit down on my own in my ten minutes of peace and quiet and open it. I haven't been disappointed yet.
January will be the last of my six month subscription, part of me wants to try another box from a different company but at the same time I know I'll miss receiving this one so I'm planning on buying another six month subscription!
I also bought the Advent calendar that Clare created for Sherbet Lane, 24 little packages all individually wrapped. I resisted opening until just after Christmas when again I had time to myself to sit down and enjoy opening them all on my own. Lots of Christmas things ready for next year, some lovely pens, pencils, cards, rose gold bull dog clips and lots more.
If you are thinking of getting yourself or a stationery geek friend a box - even if it's just a one off - I highly recommend this one - you really won't be disappointed.
